The Local Search fees vary with each Local Authority and the Local Search in the illustrated quote is in respect of South Kesteven District Council’s Local Search fees at the present time as these do increase from time-to-time. From 1st January 2010 and for all other buyers Stamp Duty Land Tax starts at 1% on a purchase price of £125,000 and then 3% on a purchase price of £250,000 and 4% on a purchase price of £500,000 and upwards and as from April 2011 5% on a purchase price of £1 million and over.

Please note: For First Time Buyers only there is no Stamp Duty Land Tax payable from 25th March 2010 on a purchase price of up to £250,000.
